Instructions for Quicken® Update

  1. Verify your version of Quicken to determine if an update is necessary.
    • Select About Quicken from the Help menu. The release number will be displayed below the Quicken logo.
    • If your Quicken is already Release 5 (R5), you do not need to update.
    • If your Quicken is Release 4 (R4) or below, continue.
  2. Make sure any previous online transactions are completed before you update Quicken.
    • Choose Online Center from the Online menu.
    • Click Update/Send.
  3. Choose QW07R5patch.exe to download the appropriate file and save to your Desktop.
  4. Run the manual download file from the Desktop.
    • If your operating system is Microsoft® Windows® Vista® — right click the download file and select Run as Administrator. Even if you are already logged in as Administrator.)
    • If your computer is running any of the other supported Windows operating systems, double-click the manual download to start the installation wizard.
  5. Follow the update wizard instructions to complete the update.
  6. When the update is complete, repeat step 1 to ensure that your current Quicken version is now R5.

Once you have updated your software, simply log in to your California Bank & Trust account. You’ll have the same access that you enjoy now, with the added security and confidence of knowing that your account information is safe and secure.
