California Bank & Trust (CB&T), a leading bank in California, is once again hosting its 2026 CB&T Growth Academy. This nine-week virtual accelerator is led by Founder of Hera Hub Felena Hanson. By pairing under-represented women entrepreneurs with the resources from the CB&T Growth Academy, the program ensures participants are better equipped with the support they need to establish their businesses and accelerate their growth. Those participating will engage in weekly Zoom session from 1 to 3 p.m. PT, starting on March 27 and ending June 5.
“The CB&T Growth Academy is a very special program for us,” said Hera Hub Founder Felena Hanson. “We’re so happy to have CB&T’s support as we try to make a real difference in these women’s lives. This program not only empowers women entrepreneurs by providing them with critical resources, mentorship and educational opportunities, but it also helps them grow their businesses, overcome unique challenges and achieve greater financial independence. By fostering an environment of support and learning, we are strengthening women-owned businesses and positively impacting communities.”
The virtual course aims to equip these business owners with the strategies they need for their company to flourish, focusing on areas like funding and finance operational efficiency, marketing, human resources and leadership skills. Through formal instruction and brainstorming sessions, the entrepreneurs will receive feedback, learn from professionals and form a strong community—all in an effort to foster long-term success.
“Empowering women entrepreneurs is at the heart of our mission, “said Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Founder of CB&T’s “Banking on Women” diversity and inclusion group Chikako Tyler. “Through the CB&T Growth Academy, we’re investing in the talent and potential of women business owners. Our goal is to ensure they have access to resources, mentorship and a supportive community so they can break down barriers, seize new opportunities and drive positive change in their industries.”
CB&T is accepting applications now through March 1, open to women in California who have owned their business for over two years, generate an annual revenue of $200,000 and can commit six hours a week to the growth of their business.
