The awards program, now in its second year, is designed to recognize and support the innovative local entrepreneurs and small businesses that are driving economic growth throughout the Greater Sacramento region.
Nominations are open through April 30, 2025, for the following categories: Small Business of the Year, Small Business Leader of the Year, Small Business Workplace Culture, Most Innovative Small Business and Small Business Community Champion.

The 2024 California Bank & Trust Top Small Businesses in Sacramento Awards received nearly 500 votes for dozens of nominations from diverse sectors spanning multiple industries. Winning this award not only amplifies recipients’ credibility and industry standing, but also unlocks opportunities for strategic growth, increased visibility and access to invaluable financial and mentorship resources.
“In the face of evolving economic challenges—from rising operational costs to shifting consumer demands—small businesses continue to demonstrate resilience and innovation,” added Fernandez. “Now more than ever, it is essential to champion small businesses, providing them with the recognition, resources and support they need to thrive and drive economic growth in our communities.”
Eligible businesses must be headquartered in Sacramento County, be in business for a minimum of two years and generate between $200,000 and $20 million in annual revenue. Complete rules and eligibility are listed on the voting site.
