Lars Hens is Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Banking at California Bank & Trust (CB&T) and a member of the CB&T Executive Management Team. In this role, he oversees commercial banking operations across the state, with a focus on delivering strategic financial solutions to middle market clients and driving growth through client engagement, team development and market expansion.

Hens joined CB&T in 2011 and previously led the Northern California commercial region. Throughout his tenure at CB&T, Hens has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, collaboration and client service. His ability to cultivate high-performing teams and foster enduring client relationships has been instrumental in advancing the division’s objectives and strengthening CB&T’s presence in key markets. Prior to joining the bank, he served as a Director at a Los Angeles-based middle market private equity firm, where he was responsible for investment strategy and portfolio oversight.

Hens earned dual degrees in Engineering and Chemistry from Dartmouth College and holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is also deeply engaged in community development and serves on the Board of BUILD, a nonprofit organization that empowers students in under-resourced communities through entrepreneurship-based experiential learning.
